The letter to the Philippians is overflowing with happiness. The Apostle Paul, the author of the letter, can hardly contain himself as he describes the joy that he has found through Jesus. He writes the letter from a prison cell in Rome, demonstrating that his happiness comes even through his life of suffering and self-denial. He empties himself only to be filled up by Christ.
In this sermon series we discover that the secret to contentment in this life, as Paul describes, isn’t what we might expect. Our happiness comes by surrendering ourselves to God, a God who doesn’t leave us empty.
