1 Chronicles 29 retells some of the final events of King David’s life as he urged his fellow Israelites to commit themselves to building God’s temple. Today this temple is long destroyed, but the presence of God remains among his people through the Church. In this sermon series, we draw out these parallels between the temple and the church, and so we see how David’s call to commitment and to building the temple remains relevant today. We’re called not to build a physical temple but to build up the Church and by doing so, make the glory of Christ clear for all to see.
